Gear up with the New RAV4 Adventure

By Justin Cupler | February 22nd, 2017

The RAV4 is a longtime favorite in the Toyota lineup for tenacious explorers and young, eager trailblazers. It’s no surprise then when Toyota unveiled a new trim level last week at the Chicago Car Show to match the spirit of this car – introducing the 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure. Chase the horizon with a new standard tow prep package and a raised ride height.

Equipped with the same powerful 176 horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine as the standard RAV4, the Adventure model increases the towing capacity with an upgraded radiator, an engine oil cooler, and a transmission cooler. So even under the pressure of precious cargo, this compact crossover can stay as cool as the cucumbers in your picnic baskets. The RAV4 Adventure is ready to tow up to 3500 pounds with all-wheel-drive – which is more than double the standard’s towing capacity.

The silhouette stays the same, but the exterior is full of little additions that make the Adventure model stand out from the pack. Sporting a blacked-out treatment on the 18-inch aluminum wheels, headlight trim, roof racks and model-exclusive lower-body cladding with thicker wheel-well liners, this model looks bigger and bolder than before. It’s ready to take on the rough roads and look good while doing it.

Inside the cabin, you’ll discover clues that proudly display the Adventure moniker. It’s on the door-sill protectors and the all-weather floor mats. If you opt for the Cold Weather package, you’ll also enjoy cloth heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a wiper de-icer. Perfect for your next trip skiing!

The exciting new Toyota RAV4 will go on sale in September, but we have plenty of standard RAV4 models in stock right now! Check out the inventory here or stop by today for a test drive.
