2020 Toyota 86 Gains New Hakone Edition Model

By Justin Cupler | April 30th, 2019

One of the most iconic driving roads in the world is Japan’s Hakone Turnpike. It’s so incredible, many call this privately owned toll road the Nurburgring of Japan. Toyota is paying homage to this legendary road with a special edition 86 known as the Hakone Edition.

The 2020 Toyota 86 Hakone Edition will start with an exclusive Hakone Green paint and 17-inch twisted-spoke bronze wheels and a black spoiler. This dresses up the sharp-looking 86 without going over the top with the exclusive goodies.

Inside, the upgrades continue with tan-and-black Alcantara seats and a black sliding armrest with black and tan stitching. Toyota extends the tan to the embroidered “Toyota 86” logo on the passenger’s side of the dashboard, and the stitching on the steering wheel, parking brake cover, and shift boot. Black stitching extends to the door trim, knee pad, and instrument cluster visor. Rounding out the interior updates is a premium trunk mat with an embroidered “Toyota 86” logo.

When you pick up your 2020 Toyota 86 Hakone Edition here at Garber Fox Lake Toyota serving Waukegan, you will also get a pair of tan key fob gloves and a folio cover with a debossed “86” logo and black stitching.

The 86 Hakone Edition’s standard features include LED projector-beam headlights, color-keyed power mirrors, chrome-tipped dual exhaust, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, cruise control, keyless entry and ignition, and more. It also boasts a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 205 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque.
