All New Toyota RAV4 Will Gain a TRD Off-Road Trim in 2020

By Justin Cupler | February 8th, 2019

Toyota has been spreading its rugged TRD Off-Road trim across its SUV and pickup lineup, and now it is set to spread into the crossover realm, specifically the all-new RAV4. The TRD Off-Road trim will make the already more-rugged-than-ever 2020 Toyota RAV4 even more aggressive. Here’s what to expect.

Toyota will base the 2020 RAV4 TRD Off-Road on the more off-road-ready RAV4 Adventure. This will give it a comfortable 8.6 inches of ground clearance and dynamic torque vectoring all-wheel drive to start with. From there, the TRD Off-Road package will add an enhanced suspension that will include off-road-tuned red-colored coil springs, re-valved twin-tube shocks with new internal rebound springs, and upgraded bump stops.

At the corners, the RAV4 TRD Off-Road will feature matte-black 18-by-7-inch TRD alloy wheels wrapped in Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail all-terrain tires.

The 2020 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road will come in a handful of color combinations, including an exclusive two-tone Magnetic Gray Metallic w/Ice Edge Roof combination. Setting the TRD Off-Road apart even further will be its dark gray front and rear lower fascias, and standard LED fog lights.

Inside, the RAV4 TRD Off-Road will boast exclusive leatherette seats with red accent stitching, stitched “TRD” logos in the headrests, and TRD all-weather floor mats.

There is no concrete release date for the 2020 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road, but you can keep an eye on the Garber Fox Lake Toyota online inventory page to know when it arrived. Until then, there are plenty of 2019 RAV4 models on at our Waukegan area dealership to satisfy your needs.
