The 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid Breaks Cover in L.A.

The new-generation 2019 Toyota Camry debuted recently, and with that launch came a brief blurb about an upcoming hybrid model. Never one to disappoint, Toyota just debuted the 2020 Corolla Hybrid and its stellar fuel economy ratings that will deliver an efficient ride all around the Fox Lake, Illinois area.

The 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid will hit showrooms with the same sporty look the rest of the lineup will boast. This, of course, includes a new platform, a larger body, new headlights, new taillights, and much more. The only thing separating this hybrid model from the rest of the 2019 Corolla lineup will be its hybrid badges and 15-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.

The same will ring true inside as the general styling of the Corolla Hybrid will mimic the rest of the lineup save for its standard 7-inch multi-information display that shows the speedometer, a hybrid system indicator, real-time battery charge status indicator. ECO accelerator guidance, and ECO coaching.

The 2020 Corolla Hybrid will also come standard with Entune 3.0 Audio. This system includes an 8-inch touchscreen, six speakers, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, Wi-Fi Connect, Scout GPS Link, Siri Eyes Free, a USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth streaming music, and more.

Safety remains a focus on this thrifty sedan with its standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 system that includes automatic emergency braking, dynamic adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and road-sign assist.

Finally, the part that really matters in the 2020 Toyota Corolla Hybrid: its powertrain. It will come equipped with a 1.8-liter Atkinson Cycle engine and an electric motor that combine to produce 121 horsepower. While this lower power output may leave some expecting a slug off the line, the Corolla Hybrid’s electric motor and battery will provide a nice jolt off the line.

Toyota estimates this hybrid powertrain will deliver over 50 mpg combined. You can extend this range with the short-range EV mode that allows the Corolla Hybrid to travel short distances at low speeds on electric only.

The Toyota Corolla Hybrid will be available to shoppers in the Waukegan, McHenry, and Crystal Lake areas in spring 2019. Whether you commute from Waukegan to Fox Lake for work or take the kids to school every day in Crystal Lake, the 2020 Corolla will get you there efficiently and in style.
